IHYC welcomes all sailors, swimmers and anyone who enjoys water sports at Indented Head.

Some of the benefits of IHYC membership are:

  • Access to all club facilities, including hot showers, training & kitchen facilities

  • Invitation to all club events

  • Sailing & swimming at one of the best beach locations in Victoria

  • Great club culture in a relaxed atmosphere

  • Club boats, including RS Quest, RS Feva, Optis, Open Bics, Sabres and Lasers

  • BYO licence.

IHYC works hard to keep our fees reasonable, making membership accessible to all.  In practice, our fees do not even cover the fixed cost of insurance and affiliation fees, and the club relies on grants and fund-raising for operational expenses and equipment replacement.

We cannot run as a club without your support, and every member is expected to volunteer for (at least one) club activity. With benefits come rights and responsibilities – see Rules, By-Laws & Policies for our expectations of members.

Depending on your needs, there are several membership levels – see below for details.

Associate membership

Associate membership is available for those who wish to enjoy the club environment and taking advantage of some of the facilities.

Volunteers (no fees applicable)

IHYC asks volunteers to register so they are covered by insurance, while IHYC also needs the member information for record keeping, including Working with Children checks.

Full membership (for adults and youths)

Full membership provides access to all club facilities and voting rights.

  • Adult membership @ $352, Adult concession @ $220 or Adult recreational @ $165

  • Youth membership @ $110 or Youth recreational @ $99.

Family membership

IHYC welcomes families and offers a Family membership @ $440 or Family recreational @ $265 (for enjoying watersports but not racing). Voting rights are included.

Applications for Full and Family membership are available by completing the IHYC Membership Application 2026/27, available as a Word document. Completed documents should be emailed to indentedheadyachtclub@gmail.com or handed to a Committee member.

Membership Notes

  • GST - applies to membership fees

  • Adults – 25 years or over

  • Family - 2 adults and their dependent children under the age of 25 years

  • Youth – up to 25 years

  • Concession – Government Health Card or Pension Card Holder

  • For families where L2S purchases exceed $700, a Family Membership is included

  • New members joining after 1 January pays 50% fees for the remainder of that season.
