Australian Sailing has annual awards recognising contributions to the sailing community. In 2023, Sail Bellarine is a finalist in the Sport Promotion Award.

Sail Bellarine is recognised "for its commitment to fostering a positive atmosphere and delivering an exceptional event. For establishing, growth, and success in not only elevating the club's profile but in also creating a welcoming and engaging platform for sailors of various skill levels."
